Final Flash Boards – Shannon-X

Problem:

Snowboarding, while still a niche endeavor, is becoming more popular with each and passing season. High quality boards are widely available. The only downside is that when you find a board that suits you it will likely come with a graphic that doesn't. One solution is Final Flash Boards.

Objective:

Design an app that allows users to select boards based on their favorite character and riding styles

This snowboard corresponds to Vegeta. Its a "do it all" kind of board with plenty of power and pop to keep you cruising all day

Design & Execution

The approach was to tailor the experience to the niche community of anime. This includes boards themed after popular characters and recognizable imagery used throughout the application. Some design aesthetics are reminiscent of retro gaming to provide a familiar and nostalgic way of navigating through the app. Currently the brand offers two different custom boards, each correlating to their own character, but as new boards are released the in-app offerings can be easily adjusted and expanded.
